This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the QLM mobile application (“App”) and website (“Website”). By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the applicable terms of service. In this document, “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to QLM and its group companies. 

QLM is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe and secure experience across both our App and Website. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our services. 

Information We Collect 

Our App and Website may collect a range of personal and sensitive information to provide and improve our services, including: 

  • Personal Information, such as your name, contact details, policy numbers, identification documents, and payment information. 
  • Device and Technical Information, such as your device model, operating system, IP address, network type, and connection data. 
  • Location Information, including both precise and approximate location data, obtained through GPS, Wi-Fi networks, and mobile towers, where you have granted permission. 
  • Health and Wellness Data, accessed through integrations with third-party health and fitness services, such as Google Fit, Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin, and others, with your explicit consent.

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes: 

  • To manage and administer your insurance policies, claims, and services. 
  • To personalize and improve your experience within the App and Website. 
  • To deliver health-related services, such as activity summaries, fitness goals, wellness insights, and claims assistance. 
  • To communicate with you regarding your policy, health updates, service notifications, and app feature announcements. 
  • To comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations. 

We may also use aggregated, anonymized information for statistical and service improvement purposes. 

Use of Health Data 

Our App integrates with various third-party health and fitness services, including but not limited to Google Fit, Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin, and similar providers, to collect health and wellness data with your explicit consent. This data may include: 

  • Activity and fitness metrics, such as steps, distance traveled, calories burned, and exercise duration. 
  • Heart and wellness indicators, including heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and blood oxygen levels. 
  • Body measurements, including weight, height, body fat percentage, and body temperature. 
  • Sleep tracking, menstrual cycle tracking, nutrition, hydration, and other health records where available and authorized. 

This information is used exclusively to provide personalized health and wellness services within the App, including activity summaries, goal tracking, progress analytics, and health-related recommendations. We do not use your health data for advertising or marketing purposes. Health data is never shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by law or regulatory obligations. 

You may manage, modify, or revoke your consent for accessing health data at any time through your device’s settings or health platform permissions. 

Location Data Collection 

The App may collect and process your location data to enable specific functionalities such as nearby hospital locators, emergency assistance, and health-related alerts based on your location. With your consent, the App may collect both precise GPS data and approximate location based on network or Wi-Fi information. Location data is used solely for providing relevant location-based services and is not shared with third parties, except where necessary to deliver requested services or comply with legal requirements. 

You have the option to enable or disable location access at any time through your device settings. Disabling location access may affect the availability of certain app features. 

App Permissions and Access 

To function effectively, the App may request access to certain device features and services, which include: 

  • Location services for enabling location-based functionalities. 
  • Health data integrations for delivering personalized health services. 
  • Camera access to allow you to upload images for claims, identification, or profile updates. 
  • File and media storage access for attaching documents and images to your claims or service requests. 
  • Internet connectivity for interacting with our secure servers and processing insurance services. 
  • Notification access to deliver timely updates regarding your policies, health records, claims, and service reminders. 

You can manage these permissions within your device’s settings at any time. While some permissions are optional, disabling them may restrict access to related functionalities. 

Data Retention and Deletion 

We retain your personal and sensitive data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations. 

Personal information related to insurance services is retained for the duration of the policy and for legally mandated retention periods thereafter. Health and wellness data accessed via third-party services is retained only for as long as required to deliver health-related functionalities within the App and is not stored on our servers unless explicitly necessary for claims or other service requests. 

You may request the deletion of your personal data by contacting our Data Protection Officer at the contact details provided below. Upon receiving your request, we will securely delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, subject to legal and regulatory retention obligations. 

Security of Your Personal Information 

We implement appropriate technical, organizational, and security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This includes the use of encryption technologies, secure data storage practices, and controlled server environments. 

When transmitting sensitive information, such as payment details, we use encryption protocols such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to safeguard your data. Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel who are subject to strict confidentiality obligations. 

No Warranties 

Due to the nature of the Internet and mobile platforms, we do not guarantee that the App, Website, or servers will be free of viruses or harmful components. You are responsible for ensuring appropriate security measures and regularly updating your device’s security software. 

Third-Party Websites and Services 

Our App and Website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites and encourage you to review their respective privacy policies. 

Copyright and Trademarks 

All trademarks, service marks, and content within the App and Website are the property of QLM and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited without prior written consent.

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published within the App and on our Website. Your continued use of our services following the publication of updates constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
